The Wand Dental InjectionThe WandWhy use The Wand?Nearly all of us have had dental injections to numb our gums before dental treatment and for many of us "the needle" is the most difficult aspect of our treatment. That's why we have invested several thousand pounds in a new local anaesthetic delivery system from the USA called The Wand.What is The Wand?This computerised system, imported from the USA, replaces the traditional dental injection.The Wand uses a small handpiece that looks like a pen which delivers the local anaesthetic slowly and under very low pressure. What does it feel like?Most of the time you will not feel anything at all whilst we use The Wand for treating your top teeth.You may still feel some sensation on the bottom but it should be much easier than a traditional injection. You will still feel the same numbness after your treatment as you always have done. Who can have The Wand?Anyone can have their traditional injections replaced by The Wand but it is especially good for children or people who are anxious about their treatment.How much does it cost?We charge £20.00 per treatment session that uses The Wand. Members of Denplan Care can have the treatment for as little as £10.00.If you have any questions or would like us to use The Wand to make your treatment easier please ask any member of staff. |
